Less Broke! More Mountain! Progress Proceeds!

Hello there! Sinus surgery happened, it went very well. I do sinus washes twice a day and healing has gone excellently, and I'm enjoying having clear sinus passages with NO inflammation!
Face function is returning little by little every day. Left side of tongue still tastes things weird. Can't fully smile, raise eyebrow, or flare nostril/crinkle nose. Blinking the left eye is pretty great, no more eye patch, food staying in the mouth while chewing also a big plus! Face paralysis waning every day, progress continues.
The infection ate a hole in left eardrum, which was a perforation that took up 80% of that middle membrane (so not fun). Doc says the eardrum hole has shrunk down to 50% which is pretty great. There will be both a hearing test and a specialist inspecting the ear and seeing if the bones behind the eardrum are okay. That's not until June 30th. I can only hear muffled things with the left ear, and it's got raging tinnitus 24/7, which is unpleasant, but that's that. There will be an update on here once plans for the ear have been revealed.
Neurologist says I'm stronger than last year and has decided to STOP infusions of Rituximab COMPLETELY which is HUGE. Used to have infusions twice a year, and then once a year, but now we're going to let my immune system rebuild. Unless there's an MS "Event" or unless MRIs are irregular, the coast is clear and no more drugs are scheduled for the ol' MS at this time. WOOOOO HOOOO!
It's been a flurry of medical appointments and labs and meds and checkups and inspections, and all are going well. Was able to do logistics for the Ghoul Scout Team in May for the Kinetic Sculpture Championship up in Humboldt County. Went and saw Mom in Forestville in June, hadn't seen her since her spinal surgery last August! She's also doing well and healing up nicely. We had ice cream and saw Mission Impossible.
So. It's now it's time to concentrate on more healing, making more art, tinkering on projects, working in community, continuing to observe self care, and do life with a LOT less inflammation/pain/fatigue/fogginess. SO THANKFUL.
