That time I had turned my body just a bit too much while asleep in an emergency hospital bed and accidentally tore out my IV. This immediately disrupted my calm and functional intravenous rehydration, much to the consternation of my nurse. He was wearing a cow print fanny pack, and rainbow colored sneakers.
He was not in a good mood.
Everyone was coming at him from all sides, someone broke loose and ran down the hall, another person needed a robot translator to explain to her that someone would be caring for her soon. Other nurses had questions and wanted his input.
I was of absolutely no help, in fact, I made things more complicated. While that was no fun for either of us, it was... kind of refreshing? To be of no help?
